Gaëlle Bien-Aimé’s Les meetings de Madame Appolon comes to Théâtre Jean-Duceppe in Montreal on Saturday 26 December 2026 at 18:30. Presented by Recond Media, this political satire follows a fictional candidate with presidential ambitions.

A campaign built around privilege

Élisabeth Appolon lives comfortably in Haiti while her husband and children live in Miami. Her wish to lead Haiti is shaped by luxury and status, far removed from much of the country’s daily reality. Through her campaign meetings, the show examines the gap between a privileged social class and people facing poverty, corruption and inequality.

Languages, length and recommended age

The performance uses French and Haitian Creole and lasts 1 hour 45 minutes without an interval. The venue recommends it for ages 16 and over. Consider those languages and the political subject matter when planning your group, and check admission conditions if a younger person will attend.

Booking and finding the theatre

Use the official seller to check seat options, current prices and the final total. Théâtre Jean-Duceppe is inside Place des Arts, whose main entrance is at 175 Sainte-Catherine Street West.
