Wax Quizzical returns to Comedy Republic Theatre on Wednesdays 4, 11, 18 and 25 November 2026, with every November session starting at 18:30. Kyran Nicholson hosts this live comedy quiz, which is recorded for the Wax Quizzical podcast. The listed running time is 60 minutes.

Ten questions and unreliable experts

A celebrity guest tackles ten trivia questions with assistance from a panel of comedians playing characters. The panel appears on a large screen from the venue’s green room, so its advice can take the quiz in unexpected directions. Special guests have not yet been announced for these dates.

Book a November recording

Comedy Republic publishes a ticket price of A$15. Select your Wednesday in the official booking calendar and check fees and availability before paying. Seating is unreserved, and theatre doors normally open around 15 minutes before the start. Arrive together if you want to sit with friends.

Age guidance and the stairs

The show is recommended for ages 16 and over; under-18s need a responsible adult under the venue’s admission rules. Comedy Republic is at 231 Bourke Street. There are 22 steps to the bar and another 25 to the theatre, with no wheelchair access. Discuss other access requirements before booking.
